The Wayman Jacket is our perfect daily jacket. It's meant to be a combination between a Type I denim jacket and a chore coat, but with the added benefit of two patch hand-warmer pockets and two incredibly useful phone and wallet sized interior pockets. Wayman is on the shorter side, designed to sit just below your waist, and drapes well off the shoulders, giving you a relaxed, yet put-together look. It's semi-slim cut allows it to be worn well unbuttoned without a bunch of excess fabric on the back, while allowing a close, warm fit when the air turns cold. The water-resistant fabric does well fall through spring staving off both wind and light rain, and pairs equally as well in a casual and slightly fancier environments.

SIZING:

Please use the size chart to determine your size. We recommend buttoning up your favorite jacket, laying it flat, and comparing the measurements in the size chart to get your fit. If you are in between sizes, measure up. If the comparable jacket is tight and you want to layer underneath, we recommend sizing up. This is a shorter jacket. It is designed to sit around 2" lower than your waist.

What is a Wayman?

Our story began in Opelika, Alabama, in the town’s original historic train depot. We carved out a little space in that old warehouse and got to work. A few years later, we moved into a bigger spot just down the street—still right along that same set of tracks. When we eventually moved to Nashville, the pattern continued: our front door sat barely ten feet from a train line.

That ever-present reminder of the rails—the movement of goods, the heartbeat of American industry, and the growth of our own business—led us to design our first jacket as a tribute to our roots. A “wayman” is a railroad worker who lays or repairs track, and we couldn’t think of a better name to honor where we came from.
